An international tournament known as H1-VivaCell-MTS kicked off in Yerevan's Mika Stadium on January 28, 2010. In the first round Hatis Yerevan beat Lebanon's "Homenetmen" with a score of 90-57.

After the first two quarters the score was 60-24 and Hatis Chief Coach Gia Ghazanchyan enabled Armenian basketball players to substitute the team's legionaries.

"Given tangible conditions we had it was senseless to continue the struggle as the outcome of the game was already evident. Armenian basketball players were given an opportunity to stay in the playground. I think that they lack an experience at an international level. European Championship Women Division C is due in Yerevan in June and that will be a great and necessary event for our basketball," said Mr. Ghazanchyan.
