Gombak Mount

Mount Gombak is one of the beautiful mountain peaks in the Syunik region of Armenia, located in the heart of the Khustup-Katar mountain range, just 6 km southwest of the city of Kapan. This majestic mountain, which has an altitude of 2971 meters, is known for its rugged landscapes and diverse vegetation. Mount Gombak is located in the Khustup-Qatar mountain range, which stretches for 38 km, starting from the Tarakatar peak of the Bargushat mountains to the confluence of the Tsav and Shikahogh rivers. The slopes of the mountain are covered with shrubs, thickets and small-leaved vegetation, which creates beautiful landscapes, especially in the spring and summer months. From the peak, a magnificent view opens up to the Zangezur and Bargushat mountain ranges, including Kaputjugh (3905 m) and Aramazd mountain peaks.

The climate of Gombak is characteristic of high-altitude zones, with heavy snowfall in winter and mild temperatures in summer. The slopes feature alpine meadows and rocky outcrops, making it a haven for hikers and nature enthusiasts.

Ecosystem
