Yerevan TV Tower
The Yerevan TV Tower, standing at 311.7 meters, is Armenia’s tallest structure. Located in the Nork-Marash district of Yerevan, it was constructed between 1974 and 1977. The tower was commissioned by Soviet authorities to improve television and radio broadcasting in Armenia. The project was designed by prominent Armenian architects Gurgen Muradyan and Armen Grigoryan, in collaboration with engineering teams. High-quality concrete and steel were used, ensuring the structure’s strength and longevity. The construction process took approximately three years and was regarded as a technological milestone.
