Yerevan TV Tower

The Yerevan TV Tower, standing at 311.7 meters, is Armenia’s tallest structure. Located in the Nork-Marash district of Yerevan, it was constructed between 1974 and 1977. The tower was commissioned by Soviet authorities to improve television and radio broadcasting in Armenia. The project was designed by prominent Armenian architects Gurgen Muradyan and Armen Grigoryan, in collaboration with engineering teams. High-quality concrete and steel were used, ensuring the structure’s strength and longevity. The construction process took approximately three years and was regarded as a technological milestone.

Today, the tower serves as a hub for television and radio signal transmission and is a landmark of Yerevan. Beyond its technical role, it is a popular tourist attraction. The observation deck on the upper floor offers breathtaking panoramic views of Yerevan and Mount Ararat. The tower is included in tourist itineraries as a showcase of Armenia’s modern architecture. Visits are organized at specific times, which should be confirmed in advance.
